Editing colors and saturation
image adjustments hue/saturation
reduce saturation to low, -70
11 brightness/contrast
lower brightness-increase contrast
duplicate background layer
(optional) filter blur-increase radius?
layer mask-circle button with white in.  apply to background copy

eraser tool-O on hardness-size-400
erasing quick mask blur-around the stuff you don't want in blur-erasing what you want to see underneath
new layer filled with black
opacity-10-eraser-rub out middle.

to small scale a large photo.  quick mask gradient tool.  one part blurd other part clear.  filter blur lense blur.      mess around with settings.  ok.  control d.  hue and saturation image adjustments and slide up.  open curves

Entry 6 Part 2:
HDR Image High Dynamic Range by Chris Godwin.

Landscapes to get better quality.  1000 pixels or more, duplicate the image.  second layer turns into overlay.  saturate the image.  same layer image invert the colors.  filter highpass up to 60.  finished product is brighter and sharper.

Entry 6:


Today I went down to the train station with Gemma and Lizzy to photograph the people around there.  This was more of a success than my last venture outside with a camera I am pleased to say.  I am also experimenting with laying photo's on top of each other.

Here's a photoshop Sandwich Print of two photos I took today.  The one in the back is Lizzy holding her hand up front of her face, and the other is of my hand on a wall.  Both of these have created a great effect together.
